The cultivation of Geranium started around 1820 in the Grasse region of southern France to obtain fragrance. The distillate resulting from the process of extracting essential oil from the leaves (steam distillation) is rose geranium flower water. It has a heavy, sweet scent. It restores the skin’s oil balance to bring a clearer complexion.
