Now commonly included in dietary supplements, flax was first cultivated by the Egyptians and had been utilized during the Age of Exploration as the material for tents and sail cloths. It has much historic and economic significance. Flaxseed oil is pressed at room temperature from the seeds. Containing essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid and linolenic acid, as well as unsaturated fatty acids, such as oleic acid, it keeps the skin soft and brings a beautiful and glowing complexion.
