Haskap grows wild in Hokkaido and has been cherished by the Ainu people as a fruit with healthy and beauty benefits since the ancient times. The fruit turns bluish purple when ripe. It has ten times the amount of anthocyanins found in blueberries and is rich in vitamin C, vitamin E (α-tocopherol) and other nutrients. The extract has an excellent moisturizing property.
