Petitgrain essential oil is extracted from the branches and leaves of bitter oranges. With a slightly lighter scent than that of neroli obtained from the flowers of the same tree, it calms the mind and boosts the spirit. The name “petitgrain” is derived from the fact that it used to be extracted from small unripe oranges. The essential oil is a popular ingredient in skincare products and fragrances.
