Mandarin Orange Extract

Citrus reticulate

– CITRUS NOBILIS (MANDARIN ORANGE) FRUIT EXTRACT

Family: Rutaceae
Areas of production: Shizuoka Prefecture (Japan)

Called Ponkan in Japanese, this type of mandarin orange is said to have originated in Northeast India. After it was exported to China, several different varieties emerged and were introduced to Japan where Citrus unshiu (or commonly known as mikan in Japan) was born. The trees are more tolerant to cold weather compared to other citruses. The extract has anti-oxidizing* and moisturizing effects.
